Our Mission:

To Empower and Inspire.

To ensure present and future generations’ accessibility to educational opportunities and to experiences in nature, particularly addressing the most vulnerable – children who face barriers to success in the education system, and natural environments that are at risk.

Our Focus

John (Jack) and Jean Gosnell were not outspoken about their priorities; rather, they wove them into their families’ lives. Being outdoors – on the Chesapeake Bay, in Acadia National Park, visiting other parks and gardens – was part of the family fabric. Likewise was a love of learning: Jack and Jean found great joy in supporting their children and grandchildren in their formal educations, and then in watching them craft their personal paths of study and vocation.

Their family is honored to carry on their legacy through the Gosnell Foundation.
